Using the formula builder to configure a basic formula

1. Click Build Formula.

   This button appears in a user interface only if the Formula Builder is available.

   or

   Select Meter Data Management > Application Data > Named Formulas.

   The Formula Builder dialog appears.

2. Select the Basic tab.

3. Enter the service point, or click Add to open a Search dialog.

4. Repeat Step 3 for each service point that is to be included in the aggregation calculation.

5. Use the dropdown menu to select the Aggregation Type to operate on the service points. The valid values are as follows.

   • SUM

   • AVERAGE

   • MAXIMUM

   • MINIMUM

6. Click Validate to verify that the chosen aggregation type works with the selected service points.

   If the configuration works, a confirmation message appears. If there is a logical incompatibility, an error message appears.

7. Click OK.

   The formula is entered into the formula field in the window from which you opened the Formula Builder.
